About the RoleTo The Rescue is seeking a Human Service Coordinator to support individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and/or mental illness in community-based settings.
In this role, you'll oversee program operations, ensure compliance, and support staff in delivering consistent, high-quality care. You'll work closely with internal teams and community partners to help individuals maintain independence, safety, and quality of life.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Oversight & Compliance Oversee program operations to ensure compliance with Iowa Code, Medicaid, and organizational standards Monitor documentation, service plans, and reporting for accuracy and completeness Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain up-to-date and compliant records Track program performance, expenses, and service delivery expectations
Team Leadership & Staff Support Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Human Services Supervisors and Direct Support staff Assist with employee training, development, and performance management Guide staff on policies, procedures, and best practices Support scheduling oversight to ensure operational and service expectations are met
Member Support & Coordination Lead and support member meetings and interdisciplinary team collaboration Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders Ensure member health, safety, and service needs are consistently met Respond to incidents, provide follow-up, and support resolution as needed
Operations & Communication Provide timely updates to internal and external stakeholders Support coordination of services across programs and community partners Maintain professional representation of To The Rescue in all interactions Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent program needs
What We're Looking ForStrong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in human services settings Ability to think critically, solve problems, and make sound decisions Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience & QualificationsExperience in human services, social services, or a related field Working knowledge of compliance, auditing, or regulatory standards Experience supervising or supporting staff Familiarity with documentation requirements and service planning Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (G-Suite)
