Safety Manager - Travel

, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, is seeking a full-time construction Safety Manager to cover large projects around the Midwest.

• Works under direct supervision of Division Safety Manager
• Assists in New Employee Safety Orientation training
• Inspects and audits projects/jobsites compliance with IES C I safety policies, procedures, programs
• Conducts employee training on IES-C I safety policies, procedures and programs
• Conducts safety toolbox meetings on projects/jobsites
• Investigates incidents and near-misses with prevention recommendations
• Leads safety inspection process; assists management to ensure all violations are corrected immediately
• Completes other duties as directed by Division Safety Manager
• Travel required.

• Minimum of 3 years construction safety experience on large scale construction projects required; 3-5 yrs. electrical construction experience preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA, state, federal safety regulations and electrical construction industry practices
• Must possess/maintain OSHA-30 Certification and 1st Aid/CPR Certification
• Ability to read and interpret all safety regulations and apply them to Company policies and practices
• Ability to work/lead in an ethical and safe manner, to solve problems and adjust priorities, and support the company’s values
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and field employees
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, drug test and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
• Must possess at least one of the following:
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
• Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST)
• Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST)
• Graduate or Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
• Safety Trained Supervisor – Construction (STS
  
  C)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in EHS discipline or EHS related field
