Job Summary

Responsible for planning, scheduling, employee oversight, and management of industrial mechanical construction projects up to $10M in value. Assists Project Manager in coordinating activities of employees engaged in the construction process, utilizing knowledge of equipment, techniques, procedures, and specifications. This position also assists craft supervision to coordinate activities of workers and ensure project quality and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Review project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman to keep critical activities on track.
  • Oversee field activities for industrial construction projects from setup to closeout in industries such as energy, power, mining, manufacturing, and pharma.
  • Document project field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule and provide them to the project management team.
  • Respond to subcontractor requests for field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule.
  • Supervise the daily work of employees.
  • Verify conformance of finished work product and ensure compliance with all contract requirements.
  • Ensure all safety and environmental requirements are met.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources with project subordinates and other Loenbro companies to ensure timely, cost‑effective completion of the project.
Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Engineering or Construction Management Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction of industrial & commercial projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing mechanical craft trades.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
  • Completion of OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
  • Ability to travel at least 75% of the time.
  • Driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred:

  • Experience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job costing program.
  • Experience with P6 or similar scheduling software.
  • Experience with Viewpoint or similar account software.
  • Experience with Heavy Bid or similar estimating software.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both enter and exit trenches and elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks.
  • Walking on uneven terrain, averaging two miles per day.
  • Standing, sitting, stooping, crawling, and kneeling.
  • Use of respirator if position requires.
  • Driving if required to travel.
  • Working outdoors most of the time.
  • Exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
  • Mining environment.
  • Working in confined spaces, including tanks and vessels.
  • Limited working surfaces.
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
