Operations Manager

As a Superintendent with Ledcor Technical Services, you will take the lead in our daily field operations. You will ensure that projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. In this role, you will execute project plans and schedules, uphold site safety and quality control, and manage the work of field staff, contractors, and tradespeople. Your leadership will be central to keeping our projects running smoothly and successfully.

Responsibilities- Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
- Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations
- Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project schedules
- Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects
- Have working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
- Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations
- Set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents
- One to three years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent
- Experience in aerial and underground fiber installation methods is a plus (Plow and Horizontal Directional Drill, HDD)
- Post‑secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as subcontractors
- Problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- This is a site‑based position
- Travel required throughout multiple states
- 50–70% travel
