About

The Role

Innovar Group is seeking a Regional Pre-Job Planning Manager to lead planning and prefabrication strategy for large electrical construction projects. This is a newly created leadership role with the opportunity to help build a consistent, scalable prefabrication program. The Regional Pre-Job Planning Manager will connect field operations, project leadership, VDC/BIM, material planning, fabrication, logistics, and installation to ensure teams arrive at the jobsite prepared to execute efficiently.

The ideal candidate has progressed from the electrical trade into field or regional leadership. This person should understand how electrical work is built, be able to translate plans into executable work packages, and recognize the value prefabrication brings to safety, quality, labor efficiency, and project schedules.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop and implement a regional pre-job planning and prefabrication strategy.
  • Establish processes covering how assemblies are planned, fabricated, packaged, delivered, staged, and installed.
  • Translate drawings, specifications, schedules, and field requirements into detailed execution plans.
  • Partner with project executives, project managers, superintendents, VDC/BIM teams, fabrication teams, material managers, vendors, and field leaders.
  • Review advanced work packages and building work packages to ensure labor, materials, tools, equipment, sequencing, and installation details are clearly defined.
  • Evaluate project layouts, constructability, site logistics, material flow, installation sequencing, and opportunities for offsite prefabrication.
  • Coordinate planning across multiple projects, contractors, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Develop regional prefabrication standards, workflows, performance measures, and continuous-improvement practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and train team members while building accountability and adoption across the region.
  • Travel to active and upcoming jobsites to support planning, implementation, and field execution.
What You Bring
  • Progressive electrical construction experience, ideally beginning as an electrician and advancing into an Area Superintendent, General Superintendent, Field Operations Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Direct people-management experience, including mentoring, developing, and holding team members accountable.
  • Experience planning and executing large, multimillion-dollar electrical construction projects.
  • Ability to break projects down into detailed, executable installation plans.
  • Strong understanding of electrical drawings, layouts, installation methods, material requirements, jobsite logistics, and work sequencing.
  • Experience implementing prefabrication, modular construction, advanced work packaging, building work packages, or similar production-planning processes.
  • Ability to interpret VDC/BIM drawings and models.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is preferred; hands‑on modeling experience is not required.
  • Experience coordinating materials, vendors, fabrication, delivery, staging, and field installation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to bring field and corporate teams together.
  • Willingness to work onsite and travel throughout the assigned region.
