The Designer II position is responsible for creating cabinet or closet drawings in addition to counter top quotes of higher complexity. They are responsible for applying design principles, product knowledge, and using customer feedback to customize designs.

- Receive new bid requests from home builders, remodeling contractors, and homeowners to send to Administrative Assistant for entry into company system(s).
- Schedule appointments and assist customers independently with design selections and showroom visits.
- Prepare plans for jobsite measure and revise plans to accurately reflect final measurements to ensure product fit.
- Complete orders and submit through appropriate ordering system(s).
- Verify product acknowledgements with Design Team Lead to ensure order accuracy.
This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will have prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. This position will continuously need to use hands and fingers for fine manipulation such as writing and typing; and visual acuity for reading or watching computer screens, documents, phones.
This position will occasionally be required to stand and walk, talk and/or hear, both in person and telephonic, lift from waist-level to overhead, as well as lift or move up to 20 pounds. Roughly once per month, this employee may be required to visit a jobsite, which could include typical construction site hazards such as uneven terrain, unfinished work areas, and other safety hazards.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in kitchen or closet design.
- Extensive knowledge of 2020 design software.
- Ability to read and scale residential and commercial blueprints.
- Ability to multi‑task and deal with a multitude of interactions both internally and externally to the company.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
Education and Experience
- 5+ years of design experience in kitchen or closet design.
