Coe College seeks enthusiastic and creative candidates for the position of Campus Life Coordinator. The Campus Life Coordinator will provide the energy and vision for an exciting student-centered student activities program s position will work with the Director of Campus Life to be the primary advisor to the Student Activities Committee (SAC), which has a budget of over $100,000 each year, and Greek Life.

The person in this position will also plan and implement in collaboration with the Director of Campus Life as well as student leaders several larger, student-focused events including Block Party, Cubs and Organization Fair, Late Night Breakfast, Homecoming, as well as others based on student interest. This position is a live-on position and has on-call responsibilities. It works closely with other Student Life team members to enhance student engagement in all aspects of student life.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement campus-wide programming in partnership with other departments on campus that helps cultivate an energized and engaged student body.
  • Build a calendar of events that supports student engagement across campus.
  • Assist with oversight and management of Flight Path, our student involvement mobile app.
  • Plan and implement club and organization training.
  • Provide oversight and general guidance for all student organizations, including developing leadership skills and budget oversight.
  • Work with the Director of Campus Life to ensure all recognized student organizations understand and follow the Student Handbook and Student Organization Manual.
  • Advise Student Activities Committee (programming board), Homecoming Committee, and oversee implementation of student events.
  • Plan, implement, and assess monthly programming opportunities from Campus Life in the PUB.
  • Assist in oversight of all student organizations and implement training.
  • Serve as a hearing officer through the conduct system.
  • Serve on the crisis response team, including sharing on-call duty responsibilities with other Student Life team members.
  • Complete other tasks as requested by the Director of Campus Life or Dean of Student Life.
Qualifications
  • Programming or event support experience required.
  • Academic or work experience at a residential, liberal arts college preferred.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
  • Successful completion of background and driver checks in accordance with Coe College policy.

  • Ability to provide appropriate support for students in different and difficult situations.

Working Conditions and

Physical Requirements
  • Required to live on campus.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent late or weekend hours are expected and/or required.
  • Driving Coe vehicles as required.
