Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (state and/or national, as required)
  • Prior experience supporting students in a school or educational setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide sign language interpretation for students, staff, and families
  • Facilitate communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing individuals and others in classroom and school settings
  • Ensure confidential and accurate interpretation according to ethical guidelines
  • Contribute insights to individualized education planning processes
