Job DescriptionTitle: Title I Off Site Teacher
Hours: 3 to 10 hours per week
Summary: Provides instruction in the curricular areas of reading and math to students.
Endorsements: Elementary Classroom K‑6 and Reading K‑8 (Required)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develops and implements programming associated with early childhood and primary reading and math curricular areas to be delivered in a classroom setting for students.
- Supports and implements the district curriculum, standards and benchmarks.
- Assists school staff with strategies to support and meet students' needs and achievement of academic goals.
- Provides active communication and positive relationships with parents and community members.
- Assists in planning and delivery of social/emotional/behavioral school‑wide programming.
- Assists and collaborates with the principal, school counselor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to building culture and philosophy.
- Maintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of data.
- Meets the 8 Iowa Teaching Standards and 42 criteria on a consistent basis.
- Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree in Elementary Education required.
Experience in early childhood and primary classroom teaching preferred.

Physical DemandsThe employee must stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, squat, stoop, kneel, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull items, and maintain vision abilities. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is usually quiet. The position may require extending beyond typical 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. workdays and working in various classroom areas, indoors and outdoors. The employee will also work with digital materials. Additional duties may be assigned.
