Full-time Adjunct in Chemistry

Coe College invites applications for a full-time adjunct in Chemistry, beginning January 2027. We seek a teacher-scholar who is passionate about undergraduate education and high-impact teaching practices.

• Teach General Chemistry courses with laboratories and other courses aligned with the candidate's area of expertise/interest
• Contribute to departmental assessment
• Hold regular office hours and be responsive to student email questions

• A Ph.D. (preferred; M.S. required) in Chemistry or a closely related field (ABD considered with evidence of timely completion)
• Demonstrated excellence—or clear potential—for effective, student-centered undergraduate teaching
• Ability to teach general chemistry with associated laboratories

This position is a renewable (annually evaluated as college needs require), benefits-eligible appointment with the opportunity for professional growth within a collaborative and student-focused department.
