Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with students individually or in group settings under the direction of professional staff.
• Assisting with supervision of students in classrooms, cafeterias, halls, and other areas.
• Implementing behavior management strategies.
• Riding the bus with students when required.
• Working one-to-one with students to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensuring student safety and supervision at all times.
• Assisting students with health needs under nurse guidance.
• Preparing materials used in the educational process.
• Helping students during mealtime and with personal hygiene.
• Assisting students to and from buses or cars.
• Performing other duties as assigned, with assignments varying based on building and district needs.

• Hourly wage of $17.26.
• Seven-hour workday.

The role requires frequent standing, walking, squatting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, bending, and twisting. Employees must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally push or pull items such as tables and carts. Vision requirements include close and color vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is usually quiet, with indoor and outdoor supervision duties. Work hours may extend beyond typical 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. schedules.
