Role OverviewCollins Aerospace Avionics Test Engineering organization is a global engineering team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of manufacturing test solutions. These solutions support our $5B Avionics strategic business and external customers, including armed services and airlines, both domestic and international.
We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing test equipment hardware to support production acceptance testing of power supplies. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by designing, integrating, and delivering test solutions that meet program requirements.
WhatYou Will Do
- Design circuit card assemblies (CCAs), test fixtures, and cables for production acceptance testing of avionics power supplies.
- Support the ordering and assembly of test hardware.
- Support hardware/software integration and debug activities.
- Maintain thorough documentation of designs, processes, and test procedures.
- Collins's engineering development lifecycle from requirements capture through deployment and support.
- How to develop detailed design specifications and schematics to meet project needs.
- Knowledge of production acceptance testing processes and requirements.
- Industry standards, safety regulations, and RTX quality guidelines as they relate to design requirements of the hardware.

- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
- Proficiency in using Siemens Expedition (or similar) for electronic design and simulation.
- Familiarity with designing and integrating circuit cards, test fixtures, and/or cables.
- Experience in designing test equipment for avionics systems or power supplies.
- Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
