In this impactful role, you will lead the charge in driving cross-functional solution s , fostering innovation, and establishing standardization to elevate the Systems Engineering discipline. What YOU will do- Collaborate with internal customers, DT subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to define, test, and implement new or upgraded applications.
- Enable data migrations between applications/systems and contribute to enterprise-level goals targeting common applications across the organization.
- Lead the implementation, integration, and optimization of a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) toolchain including a Test Management Solution.
- Provide technical expertise, guidance and mentor employees in the Systems Engineering Discipline including MBSE and digital thread technologies.
- Serve as a leader and role model working within an Agile Release Train (ART) on the implementation, integration, and optimization of digital solutions.
- Interact with end customers by providing demonstrations or engaging on technical issues requiring subject matter expertise and driving issues to closure.
- Collaborate with other Digital Technology teams and software vendors to define service and application roadmaps supporting One Collins.
- Bring a continuous improvement and growth mindset to drive iterative improvements to our deliveries and team execution.
- Champion industry standards & best practices of systems engineering.
- Ensure compliance with quality, Security, Global Trade Policies and RTX cybersecurity policies.
- Bleeding edge digital engineering industry trends, including the latest in digital threads, digital twins, integrated digital environments, model-based enterprises, Dev Sec Ops , Test Management and more.
- The breadth of engineering products, programs and tooling needs across Collins Aerospace’s expansive portfolio.
- Advancements in data science, data analytics, AI/ML, business intelligence, and the increasing importance of data management & visualization.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder).
- Proven success leveraging systems engineering principles to solve complex, multi-domain problems and deliver solutions.
- Strong understanding of the entire cradle-to-grave lifecycle of a product specifically with experience in Integration, Test, or Verification phases.
- Experience with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, Cameo, Team Work Cloud, Matlab, Polarion, JAMA, Test Rail, Test Forward) and standards (e.g., INCOSE, ISO 15288).
- Experience with Agile/SAFe implementation in an engineering context.
- Strong understanding of digital engineering implementations across the lifecycle.
- Experience delivering products/systems within highly regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, defense).
