Mechanical Engineer II in the Resilient Connectivity Products Engineering Department within Mission Systems. Design and develop high‑performance communication systems, including software‑defined radios and data links for ground, airborne, and space platforms. Contribute to electronics packaging design and advanced communication products in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
What You Will Do- Use and apply mechanical engineering principles and techniques to design, develop, document, verify, and support sustainment of communication products.
- Create and modify mechanical design artifacts (models, drawings).
- Support prototype build, verification, and pre‑qualification testing.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of a product’s lifecycle, including integration, testing, and qualification of the final product.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD), including model creation and interrogation with tools such as NX and/or Solid Works.
- Familiarity with MIL‑STD‑810 and/or DO‑160 environmental requirements.
- Familiarity with electronic product packaging requirements.
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, including planning, tracking, and managing hardware.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD – 130,000 USD. The salary range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels and is determined by role, function, responsibilities, location, education/training, and key skills.
