Collins Aerospace is looking to fill an immediate need in the Component And Material Evaluation Lab (CAMEL) supporting electronic components testing and failure analysis.
What You Will Do- Apply electronic and mechanical theory to test components for electrical, mechanical, and environmental characteristics.
- Support the electronic components commodities, including passive, magnetic, semiconductors, RF devices, and failure analysis.
- Interpret Collins specifications, vendor datasheets, industry and military standards.
- Define test setups, build fixtures, generate programs for automated testing, create detailed documentation, and produce test summaries.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing using a broad range of test equipment and analytical instrumentation, ensuring accuracy.
- Communicate test results, resolve vendor correlation issues, and recommend solutions.
- Cross-discipline testing and evaluation, including semiconductors, RF devices, broker components inspection, and failure analysis.
- Non-destructive evaluation and inspection methods such as X‑Ray inspection.
- Designing and building test fixtures.
- Enhanced circuit design understanding and component troubleshooting.
- Broader teamwork and communication skills through frequent interaction with engineers and leadership.
- Further development of electronics skills, supported by the expectation of a desire to learn and expand abilities.
- High school diploma or AA/AS degree (or two‑year post‑high‑school training) with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic circuits.
- CETa certification.
- Ability to develop test programs to automate testing and data collection.
- Experience designing and building test fixtures.
- Experience with 3‑D printing.
- Experience debugging and testing at the component level and knowledge of applicable test equipment such as impedance analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization.

The salary range for this role is 41,400 USD – 72,600 USD, a good‑faith estimate representing all experience levels.
