Software Engineer II - Military Avionics FMS; Onsite

Collins Aerospace is seeking qualified candidates for Software Engineer II roles in our Military Avionics Flight Management department located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The position is onsite and requires a U.S. Person. It will be performed in an AGILE environment with a team of 6–10 engineers.

CAAS/Flight 2 Flight Management Solutions – our signature products for Military Avionics as part of the Collins Integrated Avionics System, fielded on thousands of aircraft today. Specific capabilities include Flight Management Systems (FMS) and Tactical Communication.

• Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems that are integrated into military helicopters and planes
• Improve knowledge of Software Engineering and Flight Management Systems
• Integrate soft skills (leadership, communication, coordination, proactiveness) into a dynamic environment to deliver quality and timely products to internal and external customers
