Process Engineer – Microelectronics Engineering Group, Applied Research & Technology
Location:
Cedar Rapids, IA (Onsite). Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
- Develop, implement, and sustain all electroplating processes.
- Develop and transfer processes to the operations group.
- Document process details and drive continuous improvement of the process capability index (CpK) across all electroplating modules.
- Develop fabrication processes for the next generation of products with a focus on Collins' Z‑Fab 3D micro-scale fabrication capability.
- Support in‑line and end‑of‑line data analytics across Z‑Fab technology.
- University degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience with microfabrication electroplating process.
- Understanding of data analytics, statistics, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- PhD in science, technology, or engineering with experience in semiconductor electroplating and data analytics.
- Experience working in a microelectronic fabrication environment.
- Understanding of wafer characterization techniques and end‑of‑line (EOL) failure mechanisms.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and metrology.
- Design and develop mechanical tooling for microelectronic devices.
- Demonstrated project planning and management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Active or transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance preferred.
