Senior Principal Electrical Engineer; Hybrid

Overview

Lead electrical engineering role focused on architecture, design, verification, and integration of FPGA/ASIC and SoPC digital systems for Avionics products.

• Design and develop digital architectures, RTL code, and test benches in VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog.
• Create UVM constrained‑random environments and execute synthesis, place‑and‑route, timing analysis, linting, LEC, and clock‑domain cross analysis.
• Capture requirements, perform decomposition and traceability, and lead verification activities.
• Lead procurement, proposal, planning, and execution of design and development projects in an Avionics environment.
• Develop and maintain project and program strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and certification requirements up to DO‑254 DAL

• Communicate with engineering, program management, supply chain, service centers, and customers.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

• Degree in STEM field and minimum 10 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.
• Proficiency in RTL and testbench development using VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog.
• Experience with Linux or Unix, scripting, C/C++, Python, or Perl.
• Proficiency with FPGA tools such as Questasim, Vivado, Libero, Synplify Pro.
• Hands‑on experience with interfaces including PCIe, DDR, I2C, Ethernet, CDC, ARINC‑429.
• Device‑level timing and clock‑domain crossing analysis.
• Leadership experience with customer interaction, briefing, and technical project management.
• Experience with DO‑254 or DO‑178 design assurance activities (DAL B or higher).
• Willingness to travel
