Senior Systems Engineer - CH-Test Lead; Onsite

Security clearance requirement:
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required.

• Lead on‑site execution of requirements‑based, robustness, and ad‑hoc testing in a lab environment with schedule flexibility during formal test phases.
• Perform Platform Systems Engineering (PSE) activities for the CH‑53K Israel program and overall testing of the CH‑53K Israel customer on different Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) updates.
• Formulate requirements and test procedures, prepare and coordinate test events, and create test schedules, test statuses and test environments.
• Maintain, support, investigate and integrate Collins Aerospace lab hardware and environment, including interfaces for Collins equipment and government furnished equipment.
• Design system solutions to integrate Collins Aerospace products into complex upgrade programs.
• Navigate bids & pursuits while adhering to Collins Processes.
• Travel 10% as needed.

• Deepen understanding of aircraft systems engineering and advanced integration and development processes.
• Enhance leadership skills by directing critical test operations and influencing major project outcomes.

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Experience in a Test Lead role.

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
• Experience with Collins Aerospace’s Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS).
• Avionics test lead experience, including military or civil aircraft testing and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of data buses and protocols (Ethernet, MIL‑STD‑1553B, ARINC‑429).
• Experience with TLDB, DOORS, PREP, JIRA, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and documentation proficiency.
• Excellent communication with technical, managerial, and customer personnel.
• Research test requirements and develop test plans and procedures.
