Senior Engineering Manager – Display Electrical Design & In Service Support
The Display Products department is searching for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our innovative, forward‑thinking engineering design team. The successful candidate will lead and mentor the Display Design and In Service Support team consisting of Electrical Design Engineers and In Service Support Engineers.
Responsibilities- Familiarity with AMLCDs used for avionics and emerging display technologies
- Provide technical leadership for a group of engineers to ensure program commitments are met
- Ensure consistency with Collins Aerospace engineering processes
- Ensure compliance with program and product requirements as reflected in design plans
- Participate in budgetary planning, including staffing, facilities, capital and support needs
- Manage and enable engineering personnel to meet required deliverables
- Lead a wide range of engineers from entry‑level to highly experienced
- Demonstrate technical expertise in displays and associated technologies
- Support the development and upkeep of product roadmaps and participate in industry committees
- Maintain awareness of technology and competitive position
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 10years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field
- Successful leadership experience in developing certified flight‑deck displays
- Proven record of meeting objectives and commitments
- Collaborative working style
- Demonstrated success balancing system performance and affordability
- Strong communicator able to interface from individual contributors to executive leadership
