Security clearance requirement:
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required.
- Lead on‑site execution of requirements‑based, robustness, and ad‑hoc testing in a lab environment with schedule flexibility during formal test phases.
- Perform Platform Systems Engineering (PSE) activities for the CH‑53K Israel program and overall testing of the CH‑53K Israel customer on different Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) updates.
- Formulate requirements and test procedures, prepare and coordinate test events, and create test schedules, test statuses and test environments.
- Maintain, support, investigate and integrate Collins Aerospace lab hardware and environment, including interfaces for Collins equipment and government furnished equipment.
- Design system solutions to integrate Collins Aerospace products into complex upgrade programs.
- Navigate bids & pursuits while adhering to Collins Processes.
- Travel 10% as needed.
- Deepen understanding of aircraft systems engineering and advanced integration and development processes.
- Enhance leadership skills by directing critical test operations and influencing major project outcomes.
- Grow professional network working with avionics experts and customers.
- Build unique customer relationships.
- Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Experience in a Test Lead role.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
- Experience with Collins Aerospace’s Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS).
- Avionics test lead experience, including military or civil aircraft testing and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of data buses and protocols (Ethernet, MIL‑STD‑1553B, ARINC‑429).
- Experience with TLDB, DOORS, PREP, JIRA, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and documentation proficiency.
- Excellent communication with technical, managerial, and customer personnel.
- Research test requirements and develop test plans and procedures.
