Career Overview
As a VDC Specialist/Electrical, you will be responsible for ownership in three primary categories: BIM project set up to include developing procedures and ensuring deliverables; quality control to include quality assurance (QA/QC); and direct client services. You will also have a supportive role in modeling, remote team management, assisting PM in response to pricing and change orders as well as scheduling, customer relationship, project management assigned tasks, and developing tools for work optimization.

- Review Daily Modeling Progress

- Read and Create Redlines/Contract Documents/Submittals
- Educate Remote Team/Client
- Create/Review Bill of Materials/Specification/Quantities Take Off
- Site Visits
- 2-3 years of BIM or VDC experience
- Ability to analyze modeling challenges and provide constructible solutions
- Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Procore
- Strong ability to collaborate with contractors, project managers, and field teams
- Familiarity with electrical systems, conduit routing, NEC codes, and field installation practices
- Take full responsibility for BIM model accuracy, project success, and team collaboration
- Experience working with multidisciplinary coordination efforts in BIM
Must be within commuting distance to Cedar Rapids, Iowa or willing to relocate. Candidates will need to work on the construction site 5 days a week in a trailer environment. The role involves a collaborative environment with frequent team meetings and project briefings, with potential for travel depending on project locations.
Compensation Range$33.65 - $43.27 an hour
