Position: Manufacturing Electrical Engineer 2nd Shift (2pm - 10PM)(Onsite)

Job Overview

Position:
Manufacturing Electrical Engineer – 2nd shift (2 PM to 10 PM) at Collins Aerospace, Cedar Rapids, IA.

Your primary responsibility will be to support manufacturing test operations for Displays and Flight Systems IPT, addressing design, process, and supplier issues, and applying Lean principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve test failures.
  • Monitor equipment uptime and troubleshoot to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to floor test technicians.
  • Apply standard engineering and manufacturing principles and processes.
  • Develop solutions to complex technical problems with limited guidance.
  • Implement and maintain test methods and processes for sub‑assembly, module, and top‑level product.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of test systems and hardware.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications for complex products.
Qualifications (Required)
  • STEM degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience through on‑the‑job, research, coursework, or projects.
  • Manufacturing, troubleshooting, or test experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Root Cause Analysis experience.
  • Lean Sigma knowledge.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
