Job Summary
At Collins Aerospace, we are looking for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our Display Products department. The role combines innovation, leadership, and a drive for excellence, enabling you to develop cost‑effective, innovative display technologies for commercial and military avionics.
What You Will Do- Serve as a display system architect, creating technical approaches that build upon product line foundations and ensure alignment with internal and external customer expectations.
- Lead architecture and design of display products, interfacing directly with business units to meet project and organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with Collins Consistent Engineering Processes and program/product requirements as detailed in design plans.
- Demonstrate technical expertise in avionics, contributing to the technology roadmap and maintaining our competitive edge.
- Gain deep insights into the development of certified flight deck displays and manage cutting‑edge technology integration.
- Enhance leadership skills by driving cross‑functional teams and projects that impact the aerospace sector.
- Develop strategic management capabilities, learning to navigate complex project requirements and supplier dynamics in a global setting.
- Degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Leadership experience in developing certified aerospace products and managing significant technical projects.
- Demonstrated architecture creation with cross‑domain collaboration during pursuits.
- Knowledge of avionics regulatory and certification requirements: TSO, DO‑160, DO‑254, DO‑178B/C.
- Optical or displays engineering background.
- Strong multi‑mode communication skills, able to coordinate across groups and influence senior management.

CompensationSalary range: $132,400 – $251,600 USD.
