Senior Systems Engineer – Computing Solutions – Collins Aerospace

Salary range: $86,800–$165,200 USD (approximate).

• Develop requirements for a fully integrated DAL A computing system in accordance with industry guidance (ARP
  4754B) and program plans.
• Lead product architecture discussions, focusing on designing systems that are effective, certifiable, and meet safety‑critical requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Hardware, Software, Safety, and Security teams to integrate and validate system design.
• Create comprehensive plans, architecture definitions, verification and validation activities, and detailed design documentation for next‑generation processing solutions.
• Participate in the design, certification, and sustainment of solutions across avionics products in safety‑critical applications.

• Typically a STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience in safety‑critical system, hardware, or software development (DO‑178C, DO‑254, or ARP
  4754A/B).
• Proven ability to author, validate, and manage technical requirements.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Adaptability to change, self‑motivation, and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
