Job OverviewAs a Sr Project Engineer you will lead complex capital and process improvement projects that drive operational excellence, reduce manufacturing costs, improve productivity, and minimize waste across Ingredion’s operations. You will utilize your technical expertise and project leadership skills to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. The role reports to the Manager, Project Engineering and partners closely with Operations, Maintenance & Reliability, Finance, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
WhatYou Will Do
- Lead the planning, design, budgeting, and execution of multiple complex engineering and capital projects, ensuring delivery against scope, cost, and schedule commitments.
- Develop engineering designs, process flow diagrams, material and energy balances, preliminary P&IDs, and process control strategies to support project execution.
- Utilize Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) and project governance processes to monitor project performance and communicate key performance indicators.
- Identify and implement process improvements, innovative technologies, and solutions that optimize productivity, reduce manufacturing costs, and create long‑term value.
- Partner with Maintenance & Reliability teams to coordinate project design, shutdown planning, scheduling, and major reliability improvement initiatives.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable internal standards, regulatory requirements, and safety expectations.
- Analyze project outcomes, validate business benefits, and collaborate with Finance and business partners to assess financial impacts and value realization.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Considerable experience in project engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex capital projects in industrial, manufacturing, chemical, food, or related processing environments.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, engineering design practices, and process improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams, budgets, schedules, contractors, and stakeholders.
- A collaborative leader who can influence stakeholders and build alignment across multiple functions.

Pay Range: $–$ annually (final base salary will be determined based on responsibilities, experience, and internal equity). Incentive Compensation may include eligibility for Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or role‑specific commission/bonus.
