Senior Test Engineer - Mission Systems Test Solutions (Onsite)

At RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, we are looking for a highly motivated Test Engineer to join the Test Innovation Engineering team in the Mission Systems Multi-Domain Assured Navigation and Timing Applications (MANTA) Systems/Hardware department. The role focuses on Special Test Equipment (STE) design, development, and integration for ground applications.

Position Overview

Collaborate with internal customers, production facilities, contract manufacturers, and leadership, as well as internal systems, software, and hardware engineering development teams to develop STE products. Work in a dynamic, results-oriented team with engineers sharing a passion for cutting‑edge solutions.

What You Will Do
  • Review product designs and create test solutions that maximize coverage in manufacturing and service environments.
  • Capture, analyze, decompose, and translate requirements for production test solutions.
  • Interface and coordinate with internal systems, hardware, and software product design teams.
  • Prepare and present project and technical information to peers, internal management, and customers.
  • Reverse engineer existing equipment, documenting already built systems.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.
