Location and Work Environment

This role will be worked onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA. Relocation assistance is available.

Security Clearance Requirements

Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for security clearances.

What You Will Do:
  • Implement security improvements by assessing current situation, evaluating trends, developing security architecture and requirements, and designing architecture artifacts, plans, and policies.
  • Perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results.
  • Conduct cybersecurity audits to ensure appropriate implementation and compliance of the security posture of the system.
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total system solutions.
  • Perform bid and proposal efforts.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 5 years of experience.
  • ACTIVE and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Experience with security features and/or vulnerability analysis of various operating systems defined by Intelligence agencies.
  • Embedded systems security (real‑time embedded systems architecture).
  • Experience in Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and implementation of DoD and Federal IA certification and accreditation processes, IA controls, and associated documentation.
  • Experience with NIST 800‑53 RMF and NIST SP 800‑37.
  • Experience with security systems engineering for computer hardware and software, both stand‑alone and LAN/WAN configurations.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD TOP SECRET security clearance.
  • DoDI 8570.01‑M IAT LevelII or LevelIII compliant certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
  • Experience with NSA Type1 certification process.
  • Experience with DoDI 5000.02 and DoDI 5200.39 (Program Protection Plan).
  • Experience working on U.S. Government contract proposals as an Information Assurance Engineer.
  • Presentation of technical data to program management and executive leadership.
  • Experience with cryptographic hardware architecture/design, network encryption specifications and test methodologies.
  • Experience with tools such as DOORS, CAMEO, or similar.
  • Experience with software languages such as Rust and Python.
  • Experience with hardware and software integration, validation & verification testing, and qualification testing.

Compensation

Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
