• Lead critical safety initiatives and act as a trusted advisor to engineering teams and customers.
• Execute civil safety assessments per ARP
  4761 or military safety assessments per MIL‑STD‑882E, developing System Safety Program Plans, Functional Hazard Assessments, Fault Tree Analyses, and Safety Assessment Reports.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineers to define safety‑critical requirements during development.
• Review design documentation for safety‑critical systems, providing expert analysis and feedback.
• Mentor and lead less experienced engineers, fostering continuous learning.
• Partner with customers, stakeholders, and leaders to solve challenges and deliver excellence.

Travel:
Approximately 5% of time.

You Must Have:

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience with safety‑critical systems and knowledge of ARP
  4761 or MIL‑STD‑882E safety standards.

We Prefer:

• Familiarity with ARP
  4754A, DO‑254, DO‑178B/C, and DO‑297 standards.
• Proficiency with safety analysis tools such as CAFTA, FMEA, and FTA.
• Foundation in reliability engineering, statistics, and mathematical modeling.
• Technical expertise in avionics safety across multiple operating environments.
