What You Will Do:
- The Collins Aerospace Helmet Vision Systems team is developing the next generation of helmet-mounted displays for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. Our advanced systems provide pilots with intuitive, real-time situational awareness, day or night, by projecting critical flight, tactical, and sensor data directly within their field of view. From the F‑35 Gen III Helmet Mounted Display System (HMDS) to the new Zero‑G HMDS+, our technology enables pilots to see through the aircraft, rapidly identify and designate targets, and train with augmented reality.
With lightweight designs, immersive high‑definition displays, and digital night vision, we deliver mission‑critical capabilities built on nearly 30 years of experience. Join a team where innovation directly enhances pilot safety, performance, and mission success. - Perform systems requirements definition, design, analysis, integration, test, verification, and demonstration tasks for advanced helmet-mounted display systems
- Collect and analyze data and troubleshoot issues encountered during lab and flight tests
- Support the update, peer review, and release of systems documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and learn from experienced engineers
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Must have a minimum of 60 credit hours or Junior standing by the start of the internship and remain enrolled through the full duration of the internship
