At Fusion, we supply mission-critical sealing and hydraulic components to OEMs, industrial customers, and repair facilities, bringing everything together into one powerful solution.

We are seeking an enthusiastic student pursuing an Engineering Technology or comparable degree for Winter/Summer 2027. This hands-on role is ideal for someone interested in process optimization, automation, and manufacturing systems. No prior experience is required, just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Learn and Do
  • Optimize part staging and flow:
Design simple, efficient methods to control and stage parts at each work cell while balancing workflow, space, and material handling.
  • Develop future part-flow systems:
Contribute to long-term solutions for how parts are staged, used, and stored within our automation systems.
  • Improve and sustain existing automation:
Support currently deployed work cells by making programming updates and modifying cell features to improve operator usability, reliability, efficiency, and overall performance.
  • Support new automation projects:
Program and teach new automation equipment and work cells, identify efficiency opportunities, and implement lessons learned.
  • Design and prototype solutions:
Use CAD, 3D printing, and other fabrication methods to develop fixtures, tooling, guards, part-handling components, and other improvements for our automation systems.
  • Own a mini-project:
After learning our processes, propose and complete a small, high-impact improvement project.
Who You Are
  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Interested in automation, mechanical systems, process design, and lean manufacturing.
  • Curious, creative, organized, and willing to learn through hands-on experience.
  • An effective communicator who can work independently and collaborate with others.
What We Offer
  • Paid internship with flexible scheduling.
  • Hands-on experience with automation and process-improvement projects.
  • Mentorship, training, and exposure to manufacturing, inventory, and internal operations.
  • Ownership of a project from concept through implementation.
  • Potential opportunity for continued or future full-time employment.
