• Support manufacturing processes by managing equipment, floor layouts, work sequences, work instructions, procedures, and workflows.
• Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory, and production record systems.
• Review products and processes for quality, safety, and producibility risks, and collaborate with design teams to implement changes that mitigate those risks.
• Manage moderately sized projects or processes while independently resolving complex problems.
• Develop tactical plans to address daily challenges.
• Travel to local Iowa regional sites as needed.

• Gain hands-on experience in industrial engineering, supporting manufacturing processes for high-frequency communication radios and circuit boards.
• Learn to use engineering tools like SAP, Solid Works, AutoCAD, eView, PDM, engineering drawings, and change control boards.
• Apply standard work tools and processes, including CORE certification.
• Develop key communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Access on-the-job training and professional development opportunities to support career growth.

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related STEM major through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Prior experience in manufacturing environments. Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

• Strong background in Root Cause Analysis.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Hybrid:
Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader. Remote:
Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
