Job Responsibilities and Duties

Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as a key advisor to the President and Board on financial and strategic matters.
  • Translate business strategy into financial strategy, aligning resources to the company’s growth and diversification initiatives.
  • Provide insight into new service lines, client strategies, and future ownership models (including ESOP exploration).
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives across Finance to streamline operations and improve accuracy.
  • Introduce and leverage AI, analytics, and automation to strengthen forecasting, reporting, and decision support.
  • Evaluate, reorganize, and strengthen the Finance team structure to meet the demands of both current and future-state of the company.
Financial Management & Operations
  • Oversee accounting, GAAP reporting, annual external financial statement review and tax preparation, treasury, risk management, and vendor relationships.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.
  • Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and KPIs (utilization, gross margin, revenue per employee, coverage).
  • Ensure covenant compliance and maintain strong banking and insurance relationships.
Planning & Analysis
  • Lead the annual budget and rolling forecasts; deliver scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to guide decisions.
  • Partner with the executive team to translate financial and performance data into actionable insights, enabling informed, evidence-based decisions that drive growth, efficiency, and long-term strategy.
  • Partner with Sales and Operations to improve client-level profitability, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasting.
  • Provide proactive insights to the Leadership Team, surfacing risks and opportunities early.
  • Review, analyze, and approve key contracts to ensure financial alignment, mitigate risk, and support the organization’s strategic and operational objectives.
Leadership & Culture
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Finance team in alignment with EOS principles.
  • Develop talent within the Finance function, coaching individuals and preparing successors.
  • Model and reinforce the company’s Core Values:

Qualifications

Required

  • 10–15 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, ideally in consulting, professional services, or construction-related industries.
  • Strong experience scaling organizations, including system upgrades, process redesign, and automation/AI adoption.
  • Proven track record in FP&A, treasury management, and capital strategy.
  • Demonstrated success as a peer-level partner to CEOs/Boards.

Preferred

  • CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
  • ESOP, M&A, or ownership transition experience.
  • Experience with Deltek or similar ERP systems.
