Position Overview
Great America Financial Services is seeking a Business Support Financial Analyst to lead, evaluate, and support the financial implications of our business support strategy and operations.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Business Support Leaders to develop unit operating and financial strategies.
- Assist in developing financial models for forecasting operating results, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements (e.g., annual budget and 5‑year plan).
- Continuously analyze performance against financial plans, identify trends and opportunities, and collaborate with leadership to implement improvement plans.
- Work with stakeholders to quantify financial and operational impacts in support of strategic decision‑making.
- Recommend revenue growth or cost‑saving opportunities aligned to long‑term financial plans.
- Assist with monthly reporting to business support and leadership.
- Partner with the business unit and data analytics team to design and create interactive reports and dashboards.
- Promote and participate in process‑improvement initiatives within business support.
- Advocate a data‑driven culture through active participation in the data champion community.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or related field.
- New college graduate or finance professional with 1‑3 years of finance and accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial tools; experience with reporting and dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau or Power BI) is preferred.
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and sound judgment in evaluating financial and operational impacts.
- Accountability, ownership of outcomes, and initiative.
- Adaptability, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present complex information clearly.
- Collaboration across functions and stakeholder influence.
- Customer orientation and business partnership mindset.
- Creativity in developing solutions, teamwork, resilience, and integrity.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word;
Tableau or PowerBI experience a plus.
