Overview
Great America Financial Services is an entrepreneurial company that provides equipment financing to businesses across the United States. We are looking to add a Credit Analyst to support our growing third‑party origination (broker) channel. In this role you will underwrite small‑to‑mid‑sized commercial credit transactions sourced through independent brokers and referral partners across a variety of industries, evaluating equipment financing and other structured transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform direct and thorough investigation and obtain relevant credit information to formulate credit decisions within established risk tolerances and prescribed time frames, providing written analysis and justification for the decision.
- Review, spread and analyze financial statements and/or tax returns as applicable.
- Utilize credit bureaus and review personal financial statements and/or tax returns as needed to evaluate personal guarantors’ creditworthiness.
- Primary focus will be within the Third‑Party Origination vertical, but may support transactions within other Specialty Markets divisions as needed.
- A bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience.
- Excellent analytical ability, enjoyment of making independent decisions, and the ability to process information quickly.
- Understanding of financial statements and tax returns.
