Sr Specialist, Financial Analysis; External Reporting

Job Description Summary

Serves as a subject matter expert within the External Reporting group performing accounting, financial reporting, and analysis functions in the preparation and filing of financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Applies financial knowledge and judgment to diverse and complex activities to validate the integrity and accuracy of SEC filings.

• Prepare, review and file periodic SEC filings, including Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K and other required documents.
• Analyze financial statements to ensure consistency and accuracy across all disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Collaborate with finance team members on XBRL tagging of financial statements.
• Participate in Management Discussion & Analysis processes, footnote preparation, and non‑GAAP disclosure assignment by the Director of External Reporting.
• Assist department leadership in implementing and enhancing reporting policies, procedures, and evaluating new regulatory requirements.
• Share expertise on SEC regulations, U.S. GAAP, and financial reporting tools to promote department development.
• Provide advanced financial reporting expertise to resolve complex problems.
• Communicate with external auditors, including management audits, to resolve inquiries and develop documentation.
• Actively participate in SOX and internal control environments over external reporting.
• Evaluate and enhance disclosure controls, procedures, and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Recommend and lead process improvements using technology for greater efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve business issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Eight years of relevant experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of accounting and finance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Advanced computer skills.

• CPA preferred or advanced degree.
• Extensive knowledge of SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, and XBRL.
• Six to ten years of experience in SEC reporting and regulations.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines in a high‑pressure environment.
• Experience with Workiva and other financial reporting software.

• Hybrid schedule: in‑office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
• Occasional travel less than 10% of the time.

The salary range for this position is generally $108,000 to $135,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary based on qualifications, experience, location and other factors. The role may also be eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
