Position Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
The Senior Accounting & Treasury Manager owns accounts payable, cash application, and treasury and cash management as a defined segment of the Accounting Services function. This role independently drives day-to-day treasury and banking decisions within an assigned delegation of authority, owns working capital and cash flow performance, and leads a team of individual contributors delivering these functions. This role partners closely with finance leadership on cash and capital decisions.
Compensation: Pay Bi-Weekly
* A final amount is dependent on factors including prior relevant experience, knowledge, and location. Typically, selected candidates are hired at a rate between the minimum and midpoint of the range.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Treasury and Cash Ownership:
Independently own and drive day-to-day treasury and cash management decisions, including banking relationships, cash positioning, and liquidity, within an assigned delegation of authority - Team Leadership:
Lead and direct a team of individual contributors across accounts payable and cash application, setting priorities, managing performance, and ensuring service levels are met - Working Capital Ownership:
Own working capital and days payable outstanding (DPO) performance, developing and executing strategies to improve cash flow and payment efficiency - Process Improvement and Automation:
Lead process improvement and automation initiatives across accounts payable, cash application, and treasury, evaluating and implementing technology to increase scalability and reduce manual effort - Vendor and Cross-Functional Partnership:
Partner with Procurement and other business partners on vendor payment terms and related working capital initiatives - Delegation of Authority:
Review and approve treasury, banking, and routine invoice-related decisions up to an assigned delegation of authority, escalating items above that threshold as appropriate - Upstream and Downstream Process Ownership:
Evaluate processes upstream and downstream of accounts payable, cash application, and treasury to identify opportunities for broader operational improvement - Forecasting and Reporting:
Prepare and review cash flow forecasts, working capital reporting, and related analysis for finance leadership - Audit Support:
Support internal and external audit requests related to accounts payable, cash application, and treasury - Talent Development:
Develop and mentor team members, building capability and supporting succession within the team - Capital Decision Partnership:
Partner with finance leadership on capital allocation and cash-related decision-making as an independent contributor to those discussions - Communication:
Communicate performance, priorities, and process changes to the team and to cross-functional partners - Accountability and Reliability:
Maintain regular and reliable attendance while performing other duties as assigned to support team and business needs
Required Qualifications
- Education:
A four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Experience:
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, treasury, or finance, including experience leading a team - Treasury Knowledge:
Demonstrated experience managing cash, banking relationships, or treasury functions - Process Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of accounts payable and cash application processes - Independent Judgment:
Ability to independently exercise judgment on financial and operational decisions within a defined delegation of authority - Systems Proficiency:
Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems - Physical Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications
- Certification: CPA license
- Education:
A master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Industry Depth:
Experience in transportation, logistics, or a related industry - Systems Proficiency:
Experience with treasury management systems and accounts payable automation tools - Process Leadership:
Demonstrated success leading process improvement or automation initiatives
