We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support dermatologists by rooming patients, documenting vital information, and providing exceptional care. Responsibilities- Room patients and document all vital information accurately.
- Scribe information for the dermatologist during patient consultations.
- Provide post-operative wound care instructions to patients.
- Draw blood from patients as required.
- Clean and stock examination rooms to maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Assist dermatologists with surgical photographs, biopsies, and patch testing by being present and supportive, though not performing the procedures.
- Proficiency in medical assisting and healthcare practices.
- Ability to schedule appointments and manage patient intake efficiently.
- Experience in drawing blood and checking vital signs.
- Familiarity with medical scribing and terminology.
- Strong customer service and triage skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- CMA certification or relevant experience preferred but not mandatory.
The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The role requires flexibility to travel to the Marion location as needed, as providers rotate between sites. Travel time for split shifts will be compensated at the hourly rate, though mileage reimbursement is not provided.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
