Overview

Shift: 24 hours/week, 8am-5pm

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa

We're seeking a Patient Documentation Technician to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate and up to date records throughout the region in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Additionally, this role prepares and maintains patient information in the electronic medical record.

Responsibilities
  • Maintainaccurateand compliant electronic health records by scanning, importing, routing, and documenting medical records according to established workflows
  • Sort and process faxed documents, ensuringtimelyplacement in the correct patient chart, clinic folder, or provider queue
  • Coordinate with clinic team members to deliver complete andaccuraterecords for provider review and signature
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of medical documents, EHR workflows, and order release processes in compliance with UPC guidelines
  • Ensure protection of patient health information bymonitoringenvironmental and security conditions
Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Preferred:

    Previous medical office experience
