Position Summary As an Immunizing Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in supporting CVS Health’s mission by delivering high-quality patient care and improving community health outcomes. This position focuses on administering immunizations and supporting patient care programs while providing compassionate, personalized service. The Immunizing Pharmacist will be responsible for administering multiple vaccines, including flu, shingles, COVID-19, and other approved immunizations, while promoting a positive healthcare experience for patients and customers.
Candidate questionnaire must be completed and included with all submissions.
Responsibilities- Administer multiple immunizations, including:
Influenza (flu) Shingles COVID-19 Other approved vaccines as needed - Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to customers, patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Educate patients on vaccination programs and healthcare services.
- Support adoption and management of patient care initiatives.
- Collaborate with pharmacy teams and healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
- Adapt quickly to changing needs within a community healthcare environment.
- Promote a team culture built on caring, enthusiasm, accountability, and pride.
- Apply clinical knowledge and pharmacy expertise to support healthier communities.
- Active Pharmacy License in the state of employment.
- Current Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (such as APhA).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
- Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- No pending felony charges or convictions involving controlled substances.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a patient-facing healthcare environment.
- Previous CVS/Aetna work experience.
- Experience administering vaccinations in a pharmacy, clinic, or community healthcare setting.
- Strong patient engagement and counseling skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.
D. degree required.
