Northbrook Manor Care Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehabilitation team
. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working with adults in a supportive subacute rehabilitation/skilled nursing environment and wants to make a meaningful difference in residents' recovery and quality of life.

- Evaluate residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy.
- Treat residents recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, illness, injury, surgery, and other medical conditions.
- Assess and treat dysphagia and provide appropriate swallowing and dietary recommendations within the scope of practice.
- Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
- Educate residents, families, caregivers, and facility staff regarding communication and swallowing needs.
- Participate in care plan meetings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
- Communicate changes in resident condition and treatment recommendations to appropriate team members.
- Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Iowa SLP license or eligibility for Iowa licensure.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship status.
- Previous experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, acute care, or another medical setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care.
