We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Therapist to join our Iowa Cross ACT program in Knoxville, Iowa. This is an opportunity to provide meaningful, evidence-based behavioral health services while working alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping adults achieve greater stability, independence, and success in their communities.

The Iowa ACT program of Resources for Human Development (RHD) is an Assertive Community Treatment program based in Knoxville and Cedar Rapids, Iowa
, serving the seven-county CROSS mental health and disability services region.

Our ACT team provides coordinated, community-based behavioral health services designed to meet individuals where they are. As a Licensed Therapist, you’ll be an important part of a collaborative team working to address mental health, substance use, and other individualized treatment needs while connecting clients with the services and resources they need to succeed.

• Provide individualized, evidence-based behavioral health treatment
• Support adults living with mental health and substance use challenges
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary ACT team
• Connect individuals with important community services and resources
• Help clients work toward greater stability, recovery, and independence

As a Licensed Therapist, you will provide individual, group, and family therapy to adults based on the needs of the program population, utilizing evidence-based practices in mental health, substance use disorders, and other areas as required by the program.

You will:

• Conduct intake assessments and make recommendations for treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's needs.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy to adults experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
• Maintain an active caseload and engage individuals in ongoing treatment.
• Coordinate with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and community resources based on client needs.
• Maintain a tracking system for treatment plans and other required documentation to meet program goals and funder guidelines.
• Participate in clinical team meetings to discuss treatment goals, client progress, ongoing needs, and discharge planning.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with agency guidelines.
• Collaborate with members of the ACT team to support coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Provide supervision to non-licensed therapists, counselors, and other staff when needed to meet applicable state licensing requirements.
