About the Position

The Organizational Health Intern will support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, workplace culture, leadership development, and overall organizational effectiveness. This role provides hands-on experience in team performance, employee engagement and development, organizational data analysis, leadership training, and strategic planning related to organizational performance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

* Benchmark, analyze, and make recommendations regarding best practices in measurement of employee engagement and organizational health.

* Benchmark, analyze, and make recommendations regarding best practices employee and team recognition programs.

* Support the use of Working Genius, Team Assessments, and other industry tools.

* Assist with designing and presenting employee training such as New Hire Orientation, Support Staff Seminar, Leadership Summit, Passport Emerging Leader Series, monthly conference report-outs, and monthly manager meetings.

* Assist with designing and implementing change management initiatives for teams experiencing transition.

* Assist in further integrating organizational health concepts such as the One City goal and core values throughout the organization.

* Recommend and coordinate initiatives to promote the City Manager's Center for Employee Excellence space.

* Provide administrative support such as scheduling, logistics, and communication for ongoing projects.

* Enrolled in an accredited college or university working towards a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Organizational Development, Executive Leadership, Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Business Administration, or related field;

* Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Preferred Experience

* Experience using Patrick Lencioni's Organizational Health model with government teams.

* Experience with employee engagement tools and techniques.

* Knowledge of team dynamics and organizational behavior principles.

Work Schedule

* Monday - Friday hours between 8:00am and 5:00pm. 10-20 hours per week. Flexible work hours.
