We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Business Development Specialist to support our firm's financial professional recruiting, onboarding, and retention initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in helping drive company growth by delivering an exceptional experience to prospective financial professionals throughout the recruiting and transition process.
The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and is comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization. This position works closely with Business Development,Operations, Compliance, Technology, and Leadership teams to ensure a seamless financial professional experience from prospect through onboarding.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective financial professionals throughout the recruiting process.
- Coordinate recruiting meetings, branch visits, presentations, due diligence discussions, and recruiting events.
- Maintain professional communication with prospects via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
- Ensure timely follow-up and provide an outstanding candidate experience.
- Manage recruiting databases, CRM systems, and prospect tracking tools.
- Monitor prospect’s progression through recruiting, due diligence, onboarding, and transition phases.
- Prepare reports on recruiting activity, pipeline status, onboarding progress, and key metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and operational efficiency.
- Track onboarding requirements, documentation, and training milestones.
- Proactively address issues that could delay onboarding or transitions.
- Deliver a high-touch onboarding experience that supports financial professional satisfaction and long-term success.
- Organize and maintain recruiting files and records.
- Coordinate document collection, due diligence reviews, and approval workflows.
- Ensure records are complete, accurate, and maintained according to firm policies and regulatory requirements.
Retention & Relationship Support
- Assist with financial professional engagement and retention initiatives.
- Support financial professional communications, surveys, events, and recognition programs.
- Help identify opportunities to enhance the overall financial professional experience.
Administrative & Team Support
- Support special projects and strategic growth initiatives.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, and departmental activities.
- Assist with recruiting conferences, webinars, events, and marketing campaigns.
- Maintain recruiting and business development materials.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in business development support, recruiting coordination, sales support, account management, financial services, or a related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with in the financial services or wealth management industry.
- FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) license, Series 6 or Series 7
Licenses are preferred but not required. Candidates willing to learn and grow within the financial services industry are encouraged to apply.
