Aegon's Global Technology Services - Security (GTS-security) provides information security programs across all Aegon business units. This role focuses on information and data protection, managing and operating the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tooling and supporting a global data protection program.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver, manage, maintain, and tune information security data protection technologies, with a focus on DLP.
  • Oversee data protection support functions including policies, operational issues, training, budget, and metrics.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external partners, providing input into tooling strategy and solutions.
  • Define and maintain oversight of the data protection component of the global strategy.
  • Maintain alignment with other global programs, including data governance and privacy.
  • Drive data protection improvements and work toward consistent globally agreed capabilities.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Conduct research, development, and implementation of information security initiatives, reviewing policies, programs, processes, procedures, and technologies.
  • Create awareness and training materials and lead related activities, including hardcopy and online learning, presentations, pamphlets, and electronic communications.
  • Perform procedural tasks in control self‑assessments and security exception/waiver processes, assessing controls and compliance with standards, managing exception reviews, and recommending action plans.
  • Assist in third‑party assessment tasks such as reviewing due diligence artifacts, supervising tasks, reviewing results, and recommending outcomes.
  • Support other security processes like information management, classification, and protection.
  • Help employees and contractors understand their role in safeguarding information and technology, explaining policies and procedures.
  • Track current and upcoming laws, regulations, and industry requirements related to data protection, privacy, cyber security, and information security, translating requirements into practical solutions.
  • Gather data, analyze, and draft reports, including department, project, and dashboard indicators, and assist with requirements and improvement plans.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with peers and stakeholders such as business partners, legal, audit, risk, and technology specialists.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on departmental and organizational needs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Four‑year degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of experience with DLP solutions.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to task, communication, customer focus, decision making, problem solving, flexibility, tolerance of ambiguity, planning, prioritizing, and goal setting.
Front Office Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Big  functions and setup details; correlation set usage with Big‑Data.
  • Understanding of data field types within correlation sets.
  • Knowledge of DSAR application and policy impact across Big  vs Core.
  • Reg Ex experience and ability to translate business unit requests into policy setup requirements.
Back Office Skills
  • Expertise in classifier setup within Big  use of Reg Ex for business unit requirements.
  • Extensive Reg Ex experience, potentially requiring data science skills.
Working Conditions
