Windows System Systems Administrator; Onsite

We have an immediate career growth opportunity with our Information Workplace Services team for a talented Windows Systems Administrator. This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, multi‑platform, multi‑disciplined, classified systems environment resolving support issues for the engineering community using helpdesk and task assignment methods. This position is onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA.

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end‑users and internal teams.
• Respond to and resolve system‑related incidents and service requests.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
• Implement and maintain security best practices for system administration.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments in accordance with NIST 800‑53.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies; perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity.
• Test and validate disaster recovery procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures.
• Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and compliance.

• University degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree and minimum 3 years of experience.
• DoD Secret security clearance required day one.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Extensive experience applying DoD STIGs to Windows servers and workstations.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator with expertise in Windows.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
