This opportunity offers the chance to play a vital role in legal documentation, compliance support, and transactional strategy within a fast-paced and collaborative real estate environment. As an onsite member of the team in Cedar Rapids, you will work directly on impactful projects, supporting innovative commercial real estate initiatives and contributing to the company's continued growth.

Responsibilities
  • Draft and review purchase agreements, leases, and other real estate contracts.
  • Conduct legal research on regulatory, tax, and commercial real estate matters.
  • Assist with due diligence for property acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Support compliance efforts and risk management related to fund operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address legal concerns in new and ongoing transactions.
  • Develop and update legal templates and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Advise on investor agreements and other partnership documentation.
Must-Have Skills
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong interest in and knowledge of commercial real estate law.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing contracts and transaction documents.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to conduct legal research on real estate, compliance, and tax matters.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Previous in-house experience in a real estate investment or fund environment.
