Product Cost Manager (Onsite)

Collins Aerospace, a leader in aerospace and defense, is seeking a Product Cost Manager to track and drive key Avionics Supply Chain cost management initiatives and contract coverage (PAC) objectives. This role is hybrid in Cedar Rapids, IA, with typical 2‑4 days onsite and 15% travel.

• Collaborate with central commodity teams to drive cost reduction goals aligned with overall commodity and business unit strategies, achieving cost objectives.
• Analyze, identify, and communicate risk and opportunities to long‑term agreement goals, including expiring contracts.
• Work with supply chain to understand and track direct supply chain savings and PAC for the Avionics business unit.
• Prepare and present metric status and performance for Supply Chain leadership.
• Drive recovery plans for cost and PAC with commodity teams.
• Collaborate with Collins organizations (contracts, procurement, quality, value stream, etc.) to execute supply‑chain strategies.
• Manage several projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong project‑management skills.
• Dive into detail and be hands‑on to bridge gaps where teams need assistance.

• University degree and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong supply‑chain experience and ability to analyze data, drive accountability, and communicate gaps to stakeholders and leadership.

• Supply‑chain experience.
• Experience with cost‑out initiatives.
• Experience utilizing an MRP or ERP system such as SAP or Oracle.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical skills (Excel, Access database, SAP, PowerPoint).
• Technical or manufacturing aptitude.
• Negotiation experience.

• Self‑driven and highly motivated in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Clear communication to different levels of leadership.

Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
