Commodity Manager – Panels & Keyboard (Avionics Strategy and Cost)

Responsible for developing and executing the overall commodity strategy for the Panels & Keyboard specialty, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and delivering cost savings and strategic alignment.

• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Panels & Keyboard commodity and its supply base.
• Collaborate with contracts, procurement, quality, value stream, and other cross‑functional teams to execute supply chain strategies.
• Own and manage relationships with multiple strategic suppliers.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, competitiveness, capability, and reliability (TCO).
• Negotiate and execute long‑term agreements aligned with commodity strategy and stakeholder needs.
• Lead the sourcing process from RFQ through contract signature.
• Operate with limited oversight, driving decisions independently.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, applying strong project management skills.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with leaders at all levels.
• Lead change management or work‑transfer initiatives to achieve cost savings or improved supplier alignment.
• Analyze data to inform strategy development, negotiation positions, and supplier decisions.

• University degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Experience in supply chain management.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical skills (Excel, Access database, SAP).
• Technical or manufacturing aptitude.
• Proven negotiation experience.

This role may be eligible for relocation and typically requires 2‑4 days onsite per week.
