  • Lead end-to-end obsolescence procurement activities, including risk identification, mitigation planning, sourcing, negotiations, and purchase order execution
  • Monitor and analyze supplier notifications, component lifecycle data, and market trends to identify potential obsolescence risks
  • Lead last-time buy evaluations, alternate part qualification, resourcing, and redesign coordination
  • Collaborate with Engineering to validate replacement part options or coordinate obsolescence-driven engineering changes
  • Maintain an obsolescence tracking system documenting risks, recommended actions, timelines, and financial impacts
  • Coordinate last-time buy orders for program life, aftermarket requirements, and customer commitments
  • Manage supplier communication regarding end-of-life notices, product change notifications, and roadmap planning
  • Assess cost, lead time, and inventory implications with Procurement and Program teams
  • Identify strategic secondary sources or negotiate extended availability
  • Provide reports and status updates to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, export regulations, and supplier management requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain lifecycle management process
Requirements
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Previous procurement experience preferred
  • SAP experience strongly preferred
  • Degree in Supply Chain management preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work 2-4 days onsite per week in Cedar Rapids, IA
  • This role is not eligible for relocation
